Desire a beautiful wedding full of nostalgia? What’s old is new again with a wedding that captures the glamour, the beauty and the charm of eras gone by. A vintage wedding is absolutely on-trend, and a wonderful way to recreate memories while also creating something memorable for the two of you, as well as your wedding guests.

While you can find vintage wedding attire and jewellery by digging into your grandma’s old chest, here are 11 vintage wedding décor styling tips to get you started on planning for the venue as well.

     1. Vintage Themes Invites
Your save-the-dates and invites set the tone for the celebration, so pick something that gives your guests a little sneak peek of what's in store. Since your vintage style may be made up of mismatched details, consider creating the invite in one of your wedding colours to create a sense of consistency. Now create a seating chart on the same invite layout, and have it displayed on each table.

     2. Gorgeous Flowers
Decorate the wedding venue with gorgeous flowers. Hydrangeas and roses in vintage vases make for a lovely vintage touch.

     3. Old School Lanterns
Decorate the entrance of the venue with a vintage-inspired lighting arrangement. This vintage lantern beautified with fresh flowers is an easy way to add beauty as well as light to the venue.

     4. Vintage Centrepieces
Colour choice is also important. Vintage pastels such as yellows, pinks, greens and purples work well together for the centerpieces. You can choose a floral arrangement in vintage vases, or even opt to use antique details like stacks of old books, clocks or birdcages. For a more glamorous feel, consider mixing and matching different heights of mercury glass candle votives.

     5. Vintage Lights
Vintage chandeliers are perfect
to illuminate both indoor and outdoor spaces. Classic crystal chandeliers would be a beautiful addition to the dining hall while market lights woven through wooden rafters look charming for the outdoor areas.

     6. Candle Decor
Romantic and ethereal, an elegant vintage candle décor is perfect for a wedding theme. Candles can be used to add a little mood lighting to any space while fitting right into your theme.

     7. Vintage Gifts Table
Add a vintage table to a corner, complete with some antiques to let guests know where to leave their gifts. Place a vintage spin on your wedding décor by using family heirlooms dug out from storage, also making the whole décor a lot more personalized. From vintage globes to jewelry boxes to souvenirs, bring it all!

     8. Outdoor Bar with Character
Gorgeous outdoor bars continue to be a highly-anticipated detail of weddings. And a vintage design speaks to both the couple's style and the theme they've chosen for their nuptials. To complete the old world vibe of the evening chose your favorite old-school cocktail and have it served in vintage cocktail glasses!

     9. Glamorous Lounge
Splurge on just one area – say the lounge, and go all out with the vintage decor. Fill the space with velvet loveseats, armchairs and overhead chandeliers. An old school vanity with antiqued mirror can hold a display of snacks or party favors to become a fun and functional addition.

     10. Vintage Desserts Table
Whether it is a selection of mini cakes or more gourmet desserts, use vintage tables, complete with vintage table linen, to hold the desserts. Sitting in the corner of the dining area, this adds a lovely focal point to impress your guests.

      11. Vintage Jewels
Wear your grandma’s pearls and pin your mum’s brooch to your wedding dress. But don’t forget to add jewelled glamour to your decor as well. Vintage style jewellery can easily be woven into the decor to add lovely accents to the tables.
